Frank

How blind you become
whilst searching for
divinity, said Frank to
Susan

If you want
to be a soul,
look at everything
honestly,
everything,
don’t confine your mind
to your idea,
idea,
ideas,
look at all they
have done, said Frank to
Susan

how can you understand
jealousy,
fear,
lust,
desire,
if you do not allow
yourself to feel it,
to become it? Frank asked
Susan

I do not want to become
like you,
because then I will
just be you,
and you aren’t even
you, said Frank
to Susan

The phoenix must
burn four times
before you stop fearing
the flames, said Frank
to Susan

I wish you loved
me for who I am
and not who
I occasionally be, said Frank
to Susan

We don’t talk,
we just let our history
clash as
we feel the weight,
killing ourselves
defining what we already know,
fearing the truth because
of our fragile images, said Frank

Liars, Liars!
Liars are arsonists;
the right conditions
they will burn down the
world,
the wrong conditions,
they will sit their
with their dull flame
feeling morally
superior, said Frank

Anyone can
say I love you,
it takes real
courage to say
you don’t,
it takes real
love to admit that!
said Frank

You can only
change something
if you have the
courage to
see what it is,
said Frank

But Susan had
left to
go fuck her
yoga teacher

And courageous
frank sat in all
that sorrow
as time did
its thing.
